Film and Multimedia Pre-Accelerator
Why join?
You are welcome to join if you have an idea for a technology-based solution for the film, media, entertainment or creative industries and want to start working on it for real. You can also participate if you are just getting started with entrepreneurship.
You don’t need to have a fully developed idea or a team. At the hackathon, you can join other participants and work together on real industry challenges and new solutions.
During the hackathon, you’ll develop your idea with the support of mentors, validate the problem and customer need, work through your business model, and build your first MVP or prototype. The programme includes practical workshops, mentoring and teamwork. At the end, teams will pitch their solutions to a jury.
The winning team will receive €2000 to develop their prototype! In addition, the strongest teams will get a fast track into the Tehnopol Film & Multimedia Accelerator, where they will receive support in developing, validating and bringing their solutions to market.
The hackathon takes place on 6–8 November 2026 at IDA Hub in Jõhvi. REGISTER IS OPEN!
The Film and Multimedia Accelerator is part of IDA Hub, a film and multimedia innovation center founded by IVEK, IVIA, and Tehnopol. This unique innovation hub aims to support the growth of film talents and future changemakers while contributing to the revitalization and diversification of the Ida-Viru County economy. The solutions developed by accelerated companies bring innovation to both the region and the wider film industry.
